At the advice of a wise old sea turtle, a curious mermaid once took an extra stretch of time to quietly observe the ocean around her and was so stunned by its beauty that she began to cry with joy.

Those tears turned to glistening pearls that each carry the seed of her delightful discovery within them.

To help cheer someone who is sad, place a single pearl in his or her hand (or leave one in someone’s pocket when they aren’t looking).
